And The Accolades Are Rolling In..............

My first response is to say that you have too much time on your hands... but since I know that's not true, it must be that since your kids are out of the house, you're looking for validation. OK... maybe not that. It has to be more than you're just looking for your 15 minutes. You got that from the OC Register. So I give up.

First thing is that you're list of greatest songs is a joke. Your credibility starts low. But since I know you, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I'm sure you'll improve on that.

Other than that... it actually looks kind of cool. It will be interesting to see if anyone other than friends track it down and contribute.

  2. Nice to see I'm not the only one LIVING IN THE PAST. I have spent most of the last month watching videos from US Festival 83 on U-Toob...and even more time showing my family where I was standing in that crowd of 300,000 plus..."There I am!!!...see that dot!!!"..."YAWN...who cares?"

Was David Lee Roth "really" as drunk as everyone says he was? Or was he as much an idiot then as he is now? Was Dale Bozzio actually hot? Did the Clash really put iced tea in Jack Daniels bottles?
How could I at the naive age of 18 not recognize that Rob Halford, the greatest metal screamer ever, wore tight leather studded outfits for another reason than he was just an evil metal god?

    Not all REMAINS THE SAME...
Jimmy Page has white hair, Peter Frampton is bald and the music I listened to in high school that "would never die" is now classic rock (When exactly did that happen?).

"I used to rock and roll all night and party every day. Then it was every other day. Now I'm lucky if it's once a week!" -Homer Simpson

  3. Well said R.X.

And the fact that the music of that era that we swore would never die is recycled ad nauseum in between each 15 minute commercial break rock blocks on KLOS proves that music will NEVER die!!

    It's on life support.

    WELCOME TO THE ROCK SHOW!!!

And was Dale Bozzio really that hot? Look at her now.......

  4. Well Geno I can never seem to top you so I might as well learn from the master. I mean if I can get on "The Bus" at 52 I can do anything. Almost got my kid expelled from his christian college for putting a Steal Your Face Sticker on his truck. (satanic theme, yea right) You know well that I am stuck in 1966 - 1980. My bucket list is made up of musicians I need to see before THEY die. Ray Charles ......dang. There is hope however. My 13 year old wants to negotiate good grades for a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top with the gold parts replaced with silver top parts. Just like Neil's "Old Blackie" I just want his Strat. So here is my Jeapardy answer, He auditioned for the part eventually given to Peter Tork of the Monkees (Real name Torkelson) Now Gene, for a Ice Cold IPA what is the question?
