Hey Big Gene:
I was wondering if you could ask your massive throng of subscribers to the Big Rock Blog what is the best live show they've ever attended and why? Mine has to be KISS with their original lineup at the Arrowhead Honda Duck Pond Center in 2002 during their farewell tour when Paul Stanley got stuck suspended on a cable high above the crowd and Gene Simmons tried to sing Love Gun for him but couldn't remember the words.
I've seen them twice since...once on their "Tour After the farewell Tour" tour, and...again on their "Farewell Tour II"...but those didn't quite match up. I'm curious to know what your readers have to say???

Massive throng indeed!! I would have to say my number one concert was The Pixies last swing through the southland last November. BUT I have lousy taste in music so I will disqualify myself from the lousy taste test. BUT, after the official Big Genes Big Rock Blog "Which Is The Greatest Rock Movie?"poll is over we will open the next poll up for the month of October "What Was The Greatest Concert You Ever Saw?". Best mess of WTF are these guys doing? lousy sound, horrible voices, set more important than the music. Any Stones show in the last 12 years. Sorry Mick. It stopped being about the music long ago. Although a good Keith Richards solo will still knock you on your ass.
